Buffalo Too Much for Colonials

McCray Scores 18 as Bulls Remain Undefeated

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's basketball team won its fourth straight game Tuesday night in Pittsburgh, PA defeating the Colonials of Robert Morris, 74-41 in non-conference action.

The Bulls led at the end of the first half, 28-26 but the Bulls charged out of the lockeroom in the second half outscoring the Colonials, 46-15 and taking home the victory.

Senior guard Megan McCray (Corry, PA/Corry) who scored 16 points last season against Robert Morris scored a team-high 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe in Buffalo's win.

Senior forward Samantha Cerny (Leonidas, MI/Leonidas) also scored in double figures for the Bulls with 10 points in 15 minutes in her first start of the season.

The Bulls shot 43.9% (29-of-66) from the field and 80% (12-of-15) from the charity stripe and outrebounded the Colonials, 45-22 for the game.

The Bulls travel to the Rutgers Tournament this weekend (11/28-29). Buffalo faces tournament-host Rutgers in the first round on Saturday (11/28) at 3:00 pm.
