Friday (11/28) saw the Bulls score a 75-67 win over Sam Houston State in the first round of the Central Florida Tournament in Orlando, FL. UB faced a seven-point deficit at the half after shooting just 30% (9-of-30).

However, the Bulls rebounded to hit on 14-of-28 (50%) shots after the intermission to rally for the eight-point win. Junior Catherine Jacob (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Hills) led all scorers with 14 points, while adding seven assists and six steals. Senior LaToya Crumpton (Buffalo, NY/Hutch-Tech) scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while Megan McCray and junior Kim Coon (Belding, MI/Belding) each had 10.

Despite a career-high 15 points and 12 rebounds from freshman Tiffany Bell (Alexandria, VA/Hayfield), UB was defeated 63-60 by host Central Florida in the semifinals of the UCF Tournament on Saturday (11/29). Unlike against Sam Houston State the day before, the Bulls were unable to overcome their poor shooting, hitting on just 23 of their 65 shots (35.4%) for the game, while Central Florida shot 52.5% (21-of-40). Charissa Gardner, added 15 points and four rebounds.

UB's shooting woes continued on Sunday (11/30) in the consolation game of the UCF Tournament as they shot just 35% for the game in losing 74-54 to Bowling Green. Catherine Jacob tied a career-high with eight field goals as she led UB with 17 points, five assists and four steals. The Bulls are in action again this weekend when they travel to Chicago, IL to face Mid-Continent Conference-foes Northeastern Illinois on Friday (12/5) at 6:30 pm and Chicago State on Saturday (12/6) at 6:30 pm.
