Crishna Hill begins her second season as an assistant coach for the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team. Hill is in charge of working with UB’s guards and will also be in charge of tracking the academic progress of the team. This past season Hill worked with mostly a young guard staff that included freshman Brittany Hedderson who filled in and played both the point and off-guard position. Hill also helped Dayna Smith jump into the starting lineup as she started the last 22 games for the Bulls, including a career-high 17 points against Ohio. The South Carolina native also coached graduating senior Dortae Freeman to her best games during the Bulls’ run in the MAC Tournament. Hill previously served as an assistant coach at Neumann College and also spent time as an assistant coach at St. Anthony’s Catholic High School. Most recently, Hill was the marketing director for Chick-Fil-A. During that time, Hill played in the Eastern Basketball Alliance for the Harrisburg Lady Horizon for two seasons being named to the 2007 All-WEBA Second Team in her rookie year. During the 2008 year, she averaged 11.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest. Hill is a 2002 graduate of the University of South Carolina and played for Linda Hill-MacDonald when she was an assistant coach with the Gamecocks and was a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and a member of the Dean’s List. |
