As an assistant coach in charge of faceoffs, Margot Page led the Canadian national women's ice hockey team to Olympic gold during the 2006 Olympic games in Turino, Italy. Under the guidance of Page and the rest of the Canadian national women's ice hockey staff, the Canadian team achieved an Olympic games record of 5-0 while outscoring its opponents 46-2 in the tournament.

Page was a member of the Canadian National team that won world championships in 1990, 1992 and 1994. In addition, she played in the Senior AAA Central Ontario Hockey League-- now known as the National Women's Hockey League-for both the Toronto Aeros and the Mississauga Chiefs from 1989-1995.

As a collegiate athlete, Page starred at McMaster University and was named McMaster's Female Athlete of the Year in 1987. In addition to playing hockey, Page also participated on the track and field squad and was an Ontario Women's Interuniversity Athletic Association (OWIAA) silver medalist in the shot put. Page was inducted into the McMaster Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.

In addition to her continued success on the ice, Page was honored in 2005 by Buffalo's Business First newspaper as a community leader as part of its "Forty under 40" awards program. A frequent analyst for CBC and TSN for women's hockey, Page maintains involvement with the Niagara Falls Revitalization Task Force and is a spokesperson for the Dairy Farmers of Ontario Penalty Free Sweepstakes, which encourages young players to play by the rules.

Page is currently in her eighth season as head coach at Niagara University where she has compiled a 110-106-20 record, including a berth in the 2002 NCAA Frozen Four Tournament.
