National Girls and Women in Sports Day
Community Outreach
Community Service
Again this year, varsity and club student-athletes, both male and female, will be
attending local elementary and middle schools in celebration of National Girls and
Women's Sports Day. The athletes use this national event to spread the word about the
importance of participation in athletics for all children, to educate local children
about the history of the day, and to discuss the 2008 theme, "All In!".
Bulls Give Back:
UB student-athletes visit various WNY middle schools to talk about the
benefits of participating in sports.
Girls Multi-Sports Clinic
The clinic will feature over fifteen stations monitored by UB varsity teams
and sports clubs. The clinic will include participants from the WNY Girls in Sports
program. It is a great opportunity to showcase all of UB's sports and encourage
athletic participation in youth. Included in the event is a pizza party and
basketball ticket.
