High School: Earned five letters and captained two seasons for coach Faye Harper at Remsen High School. Finished third in the discus at the 2009 state championships. Took second in the shot put at 2008 state championships and New York State Federation Championships. Won gold medal at 2008 Empire State Games with a record shot put of 44-4. Four-year league champion in both shot put and discus. Set school records in basketball for points in a game (37) and a season. Also team MVP in soccer.

Personal: Born May 25, 1991. Daughter of John and Lisa Roberts. Has one sister (Lenee). Hobbies include showing cows. Favorite movie is Forrest Gump. Enjoys country music with Carrie Underwood as her favorite singer. Grew up on a farm and admires the profession because “it requires a lot of work with little pay and people do it because they love it not for the money but for the animals.” Majoring in exercise science.
