Previous College: Competed as a freshman at North Carolina. Placed third in the shot put (49-5.75) at the ACC Indoor Championships. Took fourth at the ACC Outdoor Championships in the shot put (50-8.75), earning an NCAA East Regional qualifying distance. Finished with top discus throw of 157-1 at the Raleigh Relays.

High School: Earned four letters and captained four seasons at Greely High School for coach Dennis O’Brien. A four-time All-State MVP and eight-time All-State honoree. Named to the Track & Field News All-America Team in shot put and USA Today All-USA Team. A two-time national champion and Gatorade Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Born April 30, 1990. Daughter of Dennis and Mary O’Brien. Has one brother (Russ). Favorite movie is Rocky IV. Worked with a therapy dog program. Majoring in exercise science.
