2008-09: Raced in five cross country events with a top 5K time of 21:22 at the UB Invitational. Saw action in the mile and 1,000m events during the indoor season. Did not compete during the outdoor season.

High School: Earned seven letters and captained two seasons at Bainbridge-Guilford High School for coach Robb Munro. Finished fourth among Division II runners in the 1500m (4:42.13) at the 2008 state champiosnhips after placing third among Division II runners (4:43.25) in 2007. Placed 17th (20:37.9) of 100 racers at the 2007 state cross country championships. Set nine individual and four relay school records.

Personal: Born August 16, 1990. Daughter of William and Gail Holowacz. Has two sisters (Kim, Stephanie). Favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine. Favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy. Hobbies include hiking and camping. Majoring in exercise science.
