2008-09: Ran second leg of the 4x400m relay teams that finished third indoors (3:48.07) and fifth outdoors (3:50.64) at the MAC Championships. Finished fifth in the 800m (2:13.02) at the MAC indoor and ninth (2:14.98) at the MAC outdoor meets. Also saw action in three cross country meets.

High School: Won 10 letters and captained one season for coach Mike Schermerhorn at North Tonawanda High School. Finished fifth in the 800m (2:14.96) Division I final at the state championships and sixth (2:12.87) in the federation finals. Set indoor and outdoor school records in five individual events and six relays. Also lettered four seasons with the swim team.

Personal: Born March 7, 1990. Daughter of Richard Burns and Linda Quermback. Has one brother (Phil) and two sisters (Elizabeth, Danielle). Favorite food is tacos. Favorite book is Love Story. Lists Wilma Flintstone as the cartoon character she would be because “she has expensive jewelry.” Majoring in exercise science.
