Previous College: Attended Erie Community College earning All-America honors (100m, 200m, 4x100m) at the 2006 National Championships.

High School: Lettered four seasons at Grand Island High School. Finished third in the 200m at the 2005 state championships. Won Section VI titles in the 100m and 200m in 2005. Set Vikings records in seven events.

Personal: Born December 16, 1986. Daughter of John and Lisa Black. Has three brothers (Robert, John, Frank). Favorite foods include chicken caesar salad and hot tamales. Favorite singers include Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Shakira. Competitive figure skater listing one of her greatest athletic experiences as landing a double axel as a 13-year old after practicing for just a month. Majoring in English.
