2008-09: Earned Coaches’ Award for the indoor season. Earned All-MAC Second Team honors helping the Bulls to a second-place finish in the 4x100m relay in a school record 40.46 at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Also finished seventh in the 100m (10.87) at the outdoor meet. Broke the UB record in the outdoor 100m (10.54) at the UB Invitational. Competed at the NCAA East Regionals in the 4x100m relay. Placed seventh in the 60m (6.97) and 10th in the 200m (22.38) at the MAC Indoor Championships. Named to Academic All-MAC squads for indoor and outdoor seasons.

2007-08: Set the school record in the 100m (10.64) to finish fifth at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Also ran the opening leg of the third-place 4x100 relay (41.25). Finished sixth in the 60m (7.03) at the MAC Indoor Championships. Named to the Academic All-MAC indoor and outdoor track teams.

2006-07: Finished 11th in the 60m (7.01) at the MAC Indoor Championships. Placed 17th in the 55m (6.50) at the IC4A Championships. Did not compete during the outdoor season.

High School: Won four letters at Eden High School for coaches Larry Huber, Tim Wade and Chris Dobeck. A two-time state champion in the 100-meters. Won sectional titles in the 100-meters in 2005 and 2006. Also earned all-league and Western New York honors in soccer, setting school records for goals in a season (31) and career (78).

Personal: Born July 10, 1988. Son of Mark and Julie Schichtel. Has two brothers (Mark, Matt) and two sisters (Lauren, Nicole). Favorite foods include hot chicken wings, chicken casserole and lobster. Favorite movies are Man on Fire and Boondock Saints. Majoring in management.
