Previous College: Competed for four seasons at Penn State. Finished eighth in both the indoor (14:18.05) and outdoor 5,000m (14:32.22) at the 2009 Big Ten Championships. Posted a personal-best 14:11.02 to finish 14th in the 5,000m at the Penn Relays. Placed 18th in the 5,000m at the NCAA East Regional Championships. Had a top 2008 8K cross country mark of 25:33.

High School: Won six letters and captained one season for coach Brett Sippel at Wilson High School. Won Section VI cross country titles in 2003 and 2004. Took Niagara-Orleans league titles in the 800m and 1600m.

Personal: Born December 14, 1986. Son of Dennis and Wendy Pollow. Has two brothers (Bryan, Nick). Majoring in sports nutrition.
