2008-09: Named Coaches’ Award winner for the outdoor season. Set UB’s top outdoor shot put mark with a 55-1.50 throw to place second at the MAC Championships, earning a spot in the NCAA East Regionals and All-MAC Second-Team honors. Threw the shot 52-10.50 at the regional meet. Posted a season-best discus throw of 155-1 at the Penn Relays. Placed third in the shot put (56-3) at the MAC Indoor Championships, earning an IC4A qualifying mark. Named to the MAC All-Academic indoor and outdoor teams. 2007-08: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons. 2006-07: Named Most Improved for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Finished third in the shot put (56-4.50) at the MAC Indoor Championships and competed at the IC4A Championships, where he placed 19th. Placed sixth in the shot put (55-6.25) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Posted two career-best throws with his 16th-place finish at the NCAA East Regionals with a top mark of 56-5.25. Earned Academic All-MAC honors for the indoor and outdoor seasons. 2005-06: Selected as the outdoor team’s Top Newcomer. Scored eighth-place finishes in the shot put (48-8.75) and discus (150-7) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Team’s top discus thrower with a best mark of 156-1 in 2006. Finished 14th in the shot put (47-3.75) at the MAC Indoor Championships. High School: Earned six letters and captained three years for coaches Billie Mays and Ted Swavely at Rome Free Academy. Helped the Black Knights to the state team title in 2005 and was an All-Central New York and and all-league honoree. Won three league and sectional titles in shot put and discus.
