2008-09: Finished third in the discus at the MAC Outdoor Championships with a season-best 160-4. Set season-best with an 11th-place finish in the shot put (50-7.25) at the MAC outdoor meet. Set top indoor shot put mark of 49-5 at season-opening Akron Quad.

Previous College: Attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE. Finished eighth in the discus (151-3) at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.

High School: Won four letters and captained two seasons for coaches Pete Szymanski and Brian Hodzinski at John F. Kennedy High School. Finished fifth in the discus (156-3) at the 2007 state championships. Named JFK’s Male Athlete of the Year. Also played football (linebacker) and basketball (center) for the Bears. Named team captain of the North/South All-Star football game.

Personal: Born October 13, 1989. Son of Rich and Lillette Knox. Has one brother (Ryan). Hobbies include fishing and hunting. Enjoys classic rock music and lists AC/DC as his favorite group. Names Tim Russert among his non-sports heroes. Majoring in architecture.
