2008-09: Named Most Improved for the outdoor seasons. Placed third in the weight throw (63-0) and 12th in the shot put (49-9.25) at the MAC Indoor Championships. Finished fourth in the hammer throw (180-1) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Earned a spot in the NCAA East Regionals finishing 18th in the hammer throw (179-6). Set the UB record in the hammer throw at 191-7 at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.

2007-08: Named Top Newcomer for the indoor track team. Set the indoor weight throw school record (60-1.25) to finish third at the MAC Championships. Placed third in the discus (163-5) and fourth in the hammer throw (180-8) at the MAC Outdoor Championships.

2006-07: Did not compete during the indoor or outdoor seasons.

High School: Earned nine letters and captained one season at Newark Valley High School for coach Keith Williams. Set school records in the shot put and discus. Won sectional shot put title and finished fourth at the state federation meet. Also lettered in football and basketball.

Personal: Born August 16, 1988. Son of Victor and Suzanne Gac. Enjoys playing guitar and lists classic rock and Led Zeppelin among his favorites. Favorite movie is October Sky. Majoring in aerospace engineering.
