High School: Captained three seasons and won four letters for coach Jeff Grifa at McQuaid High School. Won the pentathlon at the 2007 state outdoor championships and finished second in 2008 and 2009. Won the state and national indoor high jump titles in 2008. A five-time track all-american and All-Greater Rochester athlete of the year. Also played football for the Knights earning senior all-star defensive MVP honors.
