Tracksters Named to MAC Honor Roll

Bulls Place 14 Track and Field Athletes on League List

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo placed 14 members of the men's and women's track and field teams on the Mid-American Conference's 2001 Honor Roll, it was announced by the league office.

Student-athletes must obtain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher and earn a letter for the current season to be eligible for the honor. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible as student-athletes must have attended that institution for an entire year.

Under head coach Dick Barry, both indoor teams finished with perfect 3-0 dual meet records. At the MAC Championships in Mt. Pleasant, MI, UB's men placed seventh while the women finished eighth. The outdoor squads each compiled 2-1 dual meet records as the men placed 10th and the women finished 12th at the Mid-American Conference Championships in Oxford, OH.

Among the 14 honorees are eight men's athletes and six women's athletes. A complete list of honorees, along with their hometown, high school, academic class, GPA and academic major appears below.
