Three Bulls Named To USTFCCCA Academic Team Caitlin Godin, Tiffany Maskulinski and Tina Villa all honored
Godin, who has a 3.758 GPA in environmental design, was a second-team All-MAC selection this past year with her second-place finish in the heptathlon scoring 5,096 points, just 20 points shy of the school record. She also finished fourth in the pentathlon at the MAC Indoor Championships with 3,652 points, qualifying for ECAC Championships.
Maskulinski, who has a 3.606 GPA in exercise science, represented the Bulls in the NCAA Outdoor National Championships following her second place performance in the pole vault at the NCAA East Regionals, earning All-East Region honors for the second straight year. Maskulinski placed fourth at the MAC Championships in the pole vault at 12-1.50 (3.70m). Villa, the 2008 Furnas Award winner who has a 3.526 master’s GPA in management, was a 2009 regional qualifier in the shot put. She finished seventh in the shot put (48-0, 14.63m) and fourth in the discus (153-1, 46.66m) at the 2009 MAC Outdoor Championships. Villa is a former MAC Champion in the indoor shot put.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor regional or national qualifying standard in their respective event.
