Bulls Complete Successful MAC Meet

McFarland wins triple jump as teams improve on last season's showings

YPSILANTI, MI - The University at Buffalo's men's and women's track and field teams completed their competition at the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday with three more school records. In the three days of competition, UB set eight new school records.

UB's women placed eighth in the 12-team field with 47 while the Bulls' men finished 10th out of 12 with 33 points. Kent State won the women's championship with 133 points and host Eastern Michigan cruised to the men's title with 168 points. Both finishes by the Bulls are improvements on last season's showings when the women finished 12th and the men, although they also finished 10th last season, scored 28 points in the meet.

The UB team of Callender, Christina Keck (Erie, PA/McDowell), Alison Laske (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) and McFarland also earned an eighth-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 3:52.99.
