Fatimah Hill Wins MAC Outdoor Track Weekly Award UB women's long jumper named Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo's Fatimah Hill has been named the Mid-American Conference's Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced this morning from its headquarters in Cleveland. Hill set two personal bests with her victories in the long jump and triple jump at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational. Hill broke her own school record to win the long jump at 20-3 (6.17m), earning an NCAA regional qualifying mark and posting the top leap in the Mid-American Conference this season. She also won the triple jump at 41-2.25 (12.55m), earning a regional qualification in the event. This is the second weekly award for Hill. She was named the MAC's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week in February after a second-place performance in the women's long jump at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational against top national competition. The Bulls close out the regular season at the Campbell/Wright Open in Akron, Ohio on Friday and Saturday.
