Bulls Sweep MAC Track Weekly Awards Dan Harris, Allison Grimes named league's Male and Female Track Athletes of Week BUFFALO, NY – Two University at Buffalo individuals earned Mid-American Conference Track Athlete of the Week awards, the league announced from its Cleveland headquarters today.
Harris won the 100-meters (10.67) and was part of the winning 4x100-meter squad (41.38), racing as the third leg of the relay. Harris set a personal best with his time in the 100-meters as the Bulls placed first and second in the race. In the 4x100-meter relay, he combined with Dan Schichtel, Brandon Giles and Brian Smith as the Bulls won the race by .18 seconds over the second-place Seahawks.
UB’s men scored 177 points to finish behind the Seahawks with 246.50 in the seven-team men’s meet. The UB women tallied 181 behind UNCW’s 224.50 in the six-team women’s competition. Both squads return to the Tar Heel State for this weekend's Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State on Friday and Saturday. The Raleigh Relays is one of the largest outdoor events on the East Coast, playing host to nearly 2,000 athletes annually.
