UB's women were paced by junior Faith Thompson (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) with a pair of school records and an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Thompson finished second in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 60-8.75 (18.51m). The throw broke her week-old mark, set at the MAC Championships, by four and a quarter inches and provisionally qualified her for next week's NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, AR. Thompson also took seventh in the shot put at 45-2.25 (13.77m), bettering her previous record by three and a half inches.

Biaunca McFarland (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) finished second in the triple jump at 41-0.25 (12.50m) and anchored UB's record-setting 4x400 relay team which placed 10th in the preliminaries in 3:48.40 to break the mark set last week at the MAC meet by more than a second. Jennelle Callendar (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Tech), Christina Keck (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Krystal Seiling (Lewiston, NY/Lewiston-Porter) preceeded McFarland with the baton. Keck also broke her own school record in the mile with her preliminary time of 4:51.00 to place fourth. She shaved four seconds off the previous best.

Other highlights for the UB women included Laura Olson (Lyons, NY/Lyons) taking eighth in the pole vault at 11-11.75 (3.65m). Allison Laske (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) placed 16th in the 800-meter run in 2:15.02. The distance medley relay team of Laske, Seiling, Callender and Kate Kohout (Clarence, NY/Clarence) was 15th in 12:41.91.
