2008-2009: A member of the record setting 200 freestyle relay. Earned a career-best time in the 100 freestyle (52.61) at MAC Championships. Also had a season- best time in the 50 freestyle (24.16) at the MAC meet, just two-tenths off of her lifetime best.

2007-08: A member of the record breaking, fourth place 200 freestyle relay team (1:34.52) at MAC Championships. Also placed 15th in the 50 freestyle (24.44) and had a career best 52.66 in the 100 freestyle at the MAC meet.

High School: Earned five letters and captained one season at New Hartford High School for coach Tom Wells. An All-American selection in 2004-06. Won the Section III championship in 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Part of two record setting relay teams for the Spartans.

Personal: Born March 20, 1989. Daughter of Frank and Ellen Scharf. Has one brother (Adam) and one sister (Andrea). Favorite food is meatloaf. Favorite book is My Sister’s Keeper. Nickname is Cat. Majoring in occupational therapy and would like to work with visually impaired children.
