2008-2009: A member of the record breaking 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays. Placed ninth and earned a life-time best time in the 100 butterfly (55.66) at the MAC Championship meet. Named to the Academic All-MAC team at the end of the 08-09 season with a 3.71 GPA.
2007-08: Earned the teams Most Improved Player award. Finished sixth in the 100 butterfly with a career best time 55.91 at the MAC Championship meet. Also earned a career best time in the 200 butterfly (2:11.74) at the MAC meet. Swam the butterfly leg of the record breaking fifth place 400 IM relay (3:48.13).
2006-07: Posted season-best times in the 100 butterfly (59.95) and 200
butterfly (2:20.63) at the MAC Championships. Part of UB’s season-best 200 medley
relay squad (1:46.39).
High School: Earned six letters and captained one year for coach Katie
Gibson at Eden High School. Holds school records in the 200 medley relay, 400 free
relay, 200 free relay and the 100 butterfly. Also part of the girls lacrosse team
for the Raiders.
Personal: Born April 1, 1988. Daughter of Scot Eckert and Kimberly
Schmitz. Has one brother (Tyler Schmitz) and one sister (Alison Eckert). Favorite athlete is Carly Patterson.
