High School: Earned four letters at Freedom High School under coaches Robin Kneer and George Petko. Broke nine school records in high school. Named Team MVP all four years and was the school’s first double All-American in history. Will be inducted into the Liberty High School Disctrict Hall of Fame in 2013. Also swam ten years for the Pleasanton Seahawks.

Personal: Born June 30, 1991. Son of Gerry and Debby Meints. Has one brother (Jason Hardy). Enjoys football and basketball. Favorite TV show is Scrubs. Admires his parents for the morals and values they have taught him. Also recruited by UC Davis, UC Irvine, West Virginia and Hawaii. Chose UB because of the campus, team, people, coaching staff and pool. Major is undecided.
