Buffalo Divers Finish Competition at Wildcat Invite

Meili Carpenter and Kenny Rhoades take part in three-day event

TUCSON, AZ- Two divers from the University at Buffalo swimming and diving team competed at the second annual Wildcat Invitational at the University of Arizona’s Kasser Family Pool this weekend. Meili Carpenter and Kenny Rhoades competed amongst some of the nation's top collegiate diving programs in the three-day event.

On Friday, Carpenter placed third in the three-meter championship final with a score of 289.00. Rhoades picked up a fourth-place finish in the consolation final of the one-meter event with a score of 273.30. On day two, Carpenter stole the show on the women’s one-meter board, finishing first overall with a score of 301.20. On Sunday, Rhoades competed in the platform event where he placed 11th with a six-dive score of 208.70.

The UB swimming and diving team will be back in action in early December when they travel to Akron to take part in the Zippy Invite beginning on December 4.
