Carpenter Ends NCAA Meet With Platform Event

UB Diver Meili Carpenter places 20th with a score of 239.40

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – University at Buffalo diver Meili Carpenter wrapped up the final day of the 2010 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at Purdue’s Boilermaker Aquatic Center. The senior finished 20th out of 29 divers on the platform with a final score of 239.40.

Carpenter fell short of making the final round in platform diving, as the top 16 advance.

IUPUI’s Chen Ni took the platform title, winning with a score of 325.50.

Carpenter placed 12th in the one-meter event and 11th in the three-meter event earlier in the weekend. Her three finishes totaled 11 points for the Bulls as UB placed 41st among 48 scoring teams.
