Three Bulls Named to All-MAC Swimming Team Ballard, Marecki and Carpenter named to MAC second team CLEVELAND, OH – After a sixth place finish at the MAC Championship meet in Bowling Green, Ohio, the University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team had three student-athletes named to the All-MAC Second Team, as announced by the conference on Monday. The women set 10 new school records and placed first in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:39.74 which broke the MAC, meet, Cooper Pool and UB record.
Jessica Ballard swam on three recording breaking relays at MAC Championships, including the backstroke leg of the record breaking, first place 200 medley relay. Ballard also swam to a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM (2:02.40), seventh-place finish in the 400 IM(4:23.65) and a record breaking 1:59.66 finish in the 200 backstroke, earning her fourth place at the MAC Championship meet. Breaststroke specialist Brynn Marecki swam the breaststroke leg of the record breaking, first place 200 medley relay and was also a member of the record breaking 400 medley relay (3:44.39). The freshman made an NCAA “B” cut in the 100 breaststroke, breaking her own school record for the fourth time this season with a time of 1:01.81, good enough for a third place finish.
