UB started the meet with a season-best time in the 200 medley relay
as Ballard, Brynn

Koltz and Caroline
Simmons teamed up to take second place in a time of 1:44.68.
Ballard was touched out by a hundreth of a second in the 100
backstroke, taking second place in a season-best time of 57.70, but
later came back to win the 200 backstroke, this time touching out the
Toledo competition, taking first in a time of 2:05.02. Simmons and
Koltz teamed up to take a 1-2 finish in the 50 freestyle, with Simmons
finishing first in a time of 23.64, and Koltz finishing just behind her
in a season-best time of 23.72. Later in the meet, Simmons picked up a
win in the 100 freestyle, swimming to a time of 51.60 and Koltz took
the 100 butterfly in a time of 57.12. The team ended the meet on a high
note as the 200 freestyle relay team of Koltz, Karly
Moore, Palma and Simmons finished first with a time of 1:35.17.
Caroline Simmons
In diving, Carpenter broke her own record on the three-meter board
for the third time this season, earning a high score of 347.48.
Carpenter also took first place in the one-meter event, earning a score
of 324.59. Jeske took second in both events, scoring 210.37 on the
three-meter board, and 195.37 in the one-meter event.
With their dual meet schedule complete, the Bulls will take the
next three weeks off to prepare for the MAC Championship meet. The
women’s meet is being held at Miami University and begins on
February 24, while the men’s team will travel to Eastern Michigan
for their meet beginning March 4.
