The University at Buffalo Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving team will add 16 student-athletes to its roster for the 2009-2010 season. University at Buffalo diving coach Karla Helder, who just finished her fifth season with the Bulls, won three gold medals, three silver medels and set two new records at the 2009 Spring Masters National Championship in Tuscon, Arizona. Head coach Andy Bashor made the following presentations: Jessica Ballard and Zach Ruske were selected as the Most Outstanding; Alie Schirmers and Chad Miller earned the Most Improved Player Award; Brynn Marecki and Jared Heine received the Top Newcomer Awards and the Coaches’ Award went to Laura Powalski and Connor Vander Zalm.
