average (.224)...tied for the team lead in doubles (6)...tied for third in hits (26)...
made 19 appearances on the mound for the Bulls, starting nine games...finished with 28

2006: Team's Most Improved Player...primarily first baseman,
also played outfield and made five appearances in the pitcher's circle... ...played in 48
games, starting 36...hit .170...recorded 17 hits, including four doubles...led team in putouts
(197)...went 1-3 and inked first two career RBI's in 6-3 loss at USF (3/14)...went 2-3 with two
runs scored vs. Pittsburgh (3/29)...earned first career victory on the mound,
pitching the complete 4-3 win vs. Harvard (3/5)...third on team in ERA (6.79)...struck
out three batters, all looking in 11 innings pitched.
High School: A four-year letterwinner and one-year captain for head coach
Gerry Genter at Williamsville South...Carter drove in 31 runs, hit seven home runs and
batted a .352 during her senior season...set records for hits in a season (31), RBI’s
(47), triples (10) and home runs (7)...named first team All-East Coast in 2004 as well
as a third team All-American...also played basketball and soccer at Williamsville South.
Personal: Born April 22, 1987...plans to major in early childhood education...
parents are Jim and Karen Carter...has one brother, Andy...says her greatest athletic
influence is her father for coaching and guiding her through the last 13 years...chose
UB because of the people she met on her recruiting visit...lists her greatest athletic
experience as winning the regional championship in the bottom of the seventh, against
the team that knocked them out the previous year, to advance to the regional
championship.
