BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo freshman Jennifer Moore (Williamsville, NY/Delhi District) has been named to the 2000 All-Northeast Region second team. Moore was named as the second team designated player on the 13-player second team. She is now eligible for All-American honors which will be voted upon later this month.

Moore hit .322 for the Bulls this season, their first season of softball since dropping the program from the intercollegiate level in 1986. She led the team with a school-record seven doubles and was third on the squad with 13 RBIs. Moore twice had a team-best four runs batted in, against North Carolina A&T on March 8 and at Niagara on May 2. Her four hits against North Carolina A&T in the 9-4 win over the Aggies were also the most by a Bulls player. She finished the season strong, hitting .464 (13-of-28) in the final ten games.

The Bulls finished their inaugural Division I season with a 7-38 record.
