Nasti was named to the All-MAC First Team after a stellar 2002 season during which she set the UB and MAC single-season records with a .451 batting average (51-for-113). She finished the year with 26 runs scored, nine doubles, four triples, seven home runs, a .788 slugging percentage and 25 runs batted in. She had a team-high 18 multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games during the year, and she ended the year hitting safely in 16 of her last 17 games, hitting .500 during that stretch (29-for-58) and stringing together a 14-game hitting streak from April 14 to May 1. Nasti was named MAC East Player of the Week twice during the year, including on the last week of the season when she hit .579 in six games, including going 5-for-7 with an RBI and three runs scored in a doubleheader at MAC East Division champion Akron on April 30. She was a perfect 5-for-5 in the doubleheader and 6-for-8 in the three-game series against Western Michigan on April 6 and 7, including two doubles, two home runs and three RBIs. She was also 4-for-8 with six RBIs and three runs scored in a doubleheader at Bowling Green on April 27, including a seventh-inning grand slam in the opener. Nasti already holds UB single-season and career records for hits, doubles, home runs and RBIs. Her current .406 career batting average also ranks No. 1 on the MAC's career list. Nasti was UB's Most Valuable Player in 2002.

Nasti's athletic performance and 3.659 grade point average earned her a spot on the Verizon Academic All-District I Second Team. To be nominated for the Verizon Academic All-America team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore starter or significant reserve on his or her team with a 3.20 cumulative grade point average. The District I team is compiled from NCAA Division I teams from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. Nasti is a psychology major with a minor in women's studies.
