Bulls Softball Hits Airwaves For First Time

This weekend's series against Miami (OH) will air on WLVL-1340 AM

BUFFALO, NY – For the first time ever, the University at Buffalo softball team will have a home series air on local radio. This weekend’s two-game set against Miami (OH) will air live from Nan Harvey Field on WLVL-1340 AM, for both Saturday’s 2:00 pm game and Sunday’s 1:00 pm contest.

The broadcast, which can also be accessed online through the softball main page on BuffaloBulls.com by clicking on the Teamline link, will feature play-by-play from Brian Koziol, who offers color commentary for Buffalo football. Athletic communications assistant director Brian Wolff will provide color commentary.

Buffalo has not faced Miami (OH) since 2004 as the series last season was cancelled due to weather. The Bulls are led by Mary Russell (Apalachin, NY/Owego Free Academy) who took over the team batting average lead with a 6-for-6 performance in a doubleheader against Syracuse.

Before UB welcomes Miami (OH) in this weekend it hosts a doubleheader this afternoon at Nan Harvey Field against Ball State. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm.
