In Ypsilanti, the Bulls and Eagles split the doubleheader with the Eagles scoring a 10-1 win in the opener and the Bulls picking up an extra innings victory in game two, 6-2. In the opener, Zilka brought home Hampton with UB’s lone run in the first inning. Zilka and Hampton each finished with two hits. In the nightcap, the Bulls forced extra innings when Kristen Gallipani belted her first homer of the season in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, Zilka connected on her second home run of the season, giving the Bulls a four-run cushion in the top of the ninth, as she knocked a grand slam over the left-field fence. Diaz went the distance on the mound, striking out four. Diaz also collected two hits at the plate with Gallipani and Kristin Waldron also adding a pair of hits.
