Softball Concludes Play At Kansas Invite

The Bulls fell to the Louisiana Tech 8-0.

Sharon Barr (Coarsegold, CA/Yosemite Union) had an excellent day offensively for Buffalo as the sophomore pitcher went 3-for-3 from the plate. In addition, Barr pitched the complete game, giving up just four earned runs while recording three strikeouts and walking one batter.

As a team, UB finished the contest with seven hits on the day, as Mary Russell (Apalachin, NY/Owego), Erin Zilka (Benicia, CA/Benicia), Wendy Sheehan (Orange, CA/El Modena/Bowling Green) and Kristen Gallipani (Brewster, NY/Brewster) inked one hit each.

The Bulls return to action on Friday, March 28 when the team is slated to commence the Mid-American Conference portion of its schedule beginning with a doubleheader against Toledo. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm.

The Bulls will continue MAC play with single games against Bowling Green on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. Saturday’s contest between the Bulls and the Falcons is set for 2:00 pm while Sunday’s game will start at 1:00 pm.
