Angela Churchill enters her fifth season as assistant coach at the University at Buffalo, helping lead the Bulls to a 25-27 (7-15 MAC) record last season, which tied the most wins in a single season in UB's Division I softball era. Churchill joined the Bulls after spending one season as a graduate assistant for fellow MAC member, Ohio. Prior to joining the Bobcats, Churchill was a four-year member of the Michigan Wolverines where she helped her team to a 191-57-1 record in her four years. Churchill was a defensive standout for the Wolverines, finishing her career with a .957 fielding percentage, while she saw time at all eight field positions. However, the majority of her time, especially during her senior season, was at third. On the offensive side, Churchill finished her collegiate career with a .213 batting average and 30 hits, seven doubles and a home run. A native of Mokena, IL., Churchill was an all-state selection in 2000 at Lincoln-Way High School. In 1999, she led her high school to the Illinois High School Association Sectional championship. In addition to being a softball standout, Churchill was also a member of her high school's basketball and tennis teams. |
