Water Aerobics
Water aerobics is a low-impact aerobic class that utilizes the watery
environment to one and aerobically condition the body without the added stress of
"land" exercise. Whether you are recovering from an injury, your knees
need a break from running or need a source of cross-training, water aerobics is a
moderate workout for any level of fitness. Swimming experience is not required.
Classes take place in shallow water with a lifeguard on duty.
Water aerobics will take place at the Alumni Arena pool, North Campus
Water Aerobic Policies:
- Bathing suit and swim cap are required
- Water aerobic shoes are permitted
- Participants will not be admitted to class after warm-up have begun due to safety reasons
- Water aerobic permit must be presented at beginning of class as proof of registration
- Participants are encouraged to regularly monitor their own workout intensity and take water breaks frequently
