2006-07: Led the Bulls with a 10-4 singles record in the fall, finished with a 17-14 singles mark, tied for third in wins. Split time at the fourth, fifth and sixth spots on the singles ladder. Claimed number three singles bracket title at the St. Bonaventure Invitational with a 3-0 mark. Went 3-0 with Nikesh Singh Panthlia in doubles play at the Dartmouth Shootout.
2005-06: Went 12-8 in singles and 7-5 in doubles in his freshman campaign. Was 4-3 (2-2 MAC) at the number four spot in the spring, including winning a third-set super-tiebreaker match over IPFW’s Hermann Kuschke to help the Bulls to a 5-2 conference win. Earned three singles wins at the Dartmouth Volkl Shootout and two at the St. Bonaventure Invitational.
PERSONAL: Born May 20, 1987 in Romania. Parents are Ella and Micheal Stane. Has one brother (Sebastian). Hobbies include fishing. Also enjoys basketball, boxing and ultimate fighting. Favorite food is Chinese. Chose UB over Illinois, Texas and Florida. The top-ranked singles player in Ontario. Also ranked in the top 10 nationally for singles and third for doubles. Plans on attending law school.
