2006-07: Topped the Bulls with a 20-13 singles record and was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Second Team. Primarily saw time as the number two seed for the Bulls, posting an 11-3 dual meet record and 3-0 mark in MAC action. Won 15 doubles matches, including an 8-5 with Octavian Stane. Went 1-1 in qualifying round of the ITA Regionals, but advanced into the main draw as a “Lucky Loser”, falling in a second-round match. Reached doubles finals at Cornell Fall Invitational with Yules Hadisubroto. 2005-06: Named Top Newcomer after going 18-11 in singles and a team-best 16-12 in doubles competitions. Spent much of the dual season at number two with a 9-5 record in that slot. Won five straight matches from March 4-16 that included three three-set victories as the Bulls won all five competitions. Paired with Yules Hadisubroto to make up the top doubles team going 11-11 overall and reaching the second round at the ITA Regional Championships. PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Played at South Carolina-Aiken, earning the team’s MVP Award in 2004-05. PERSONAL: Born July 29, 1985. Parents are Champa and Dr. Khushpall Singh. Has one brother (Don Wayne Singh). Enjoys playing soccer and reading. Favorite thing about Buffalo is the food. Greatest athletic experience was playing in the 2005 Davis Cup for his home country of Malaysia. Majoring in aerospace engineering. |
