PHILADELPHIA, PA – The University at Buffalo's men's tennis players were eliminated from competition on Saturday as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's regional championships continued.

UB senior Mike Rockman (Toronto, Ontario/Thornlea) was knocked out in the second round of the tournament on Saturday with a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Princeton's Sratha Saengsuwarn, seeded 15th in the tournament. Rockman had advanced into the second round after a 6-2, 6-1 win over Cprime Realista of St. Peter's in the opening round.

Rockman and Yules Hadisubroto (Jakarta, Indonesia/SMUN 21) fell on Saturday in the second round of doubles play. The duo were defeated 8-1 by Brown's Basu Ratnam and Eric Thomas in the round of 32.

Nikesh Singh Panthlia (George Town, Malaysia/BMK Penang Free School) and Hadisubroto were also knocked out in singles play in unusual fashion. Singh Panthlia earned a spot in the tournament's main draw through the "Lucky Loser" provision that included all players who did not advance out of the qualifiers. Singh Panthlia replaced Virginia Tech's Albert Larregola, the tournament's fifth seed, after Larregola became injured in his doubles match against St. Bonaventure on Saturday. Singh Panthlia's name was pulled out of a hat, giving him the spot. However, the run in the tournament was short-lived as he lost to Brown's Chris Lee, 7-6 (2), 6-2.

Hadisubroto competed in the consolation round picking up a 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) victory over Lehigh's Alfredo Fernandez-Concha. Hadisubroto was eliminated from the consolation bracket with a 6-1, 6-3 loss to Boston College's Alex Rastorgouev.

The Bulls are in Ithaca next weekend to compete in the Cornell Invitational.
