BURLINGTON, VT - The University at Buffalo men's tennis team scored its first dual meet victory of the season with a 7-0 win at Vermont on Friday afternoon. The Bulls are now 1-0 for the fall 2003 campaign while the Catamounts fall to 1-3.

UB rolled to the victory, dropping just one set in the nine matches, en route to the whitewashing in the team's first match in a two-match road trip that will see the Bulls visit Binghamton on Sunday.

In the doubles competition, the top doubles duo of Randy Rocchio (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) and Nick Zieziula (Hamburg, NY/St. Francis) defeated Eric Conway and Matt Spring, 8-3. In the number two match, Mike Rockman (Toronto, Ontario/Thornhill) combined with Josh Liederman (Queens Village, NY/Benjamin Cardozo) to down Tom Whittaker and Chris Hathaway in an 8-5 decision.
