Bulls Fall to Bonnies

Buffalo defeated by St. Bonaventure in men's tennis action

OLEAN, NY - The University at Buffalo's men's tennis team fell 6-1 to St. Bonaventure University on Saturday in Olean, NY.

At first singles, senior Fery Kasiman (Jarkarta, Indonesia/ESI International Academy) defeated Vili Nurmi, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). At second singles, Randy Rocchio (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) fell to Mikko Haulos, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Justin Brtko (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) fell at third singles to Mario Arce, 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Nick Zieziula (Hamburg, NY/St. Francis) was defeated by Nikhil Murali at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-4. Josh Liederman (Queens, NY/Benjamin Cardozo) fell to Adam Price at fifth singles, 6-1, 6-1. At sixth singles, Sean Kelley (Gorham, NY/Marcus Whitman) fell to Kevin MacDonald, 6-4, 6-0.

In doubles competition, Brtko and Kasiman fell to Nurmi and Arce at first doubles, 8-6. At second doubles, Rocchio and Zieziula fell to Haulos and Murali, 9-8 (7-5) Liederman and Rohan Raikar (Albany, NY/Albany) fell to Price and MacDonald, 8-4.

The Bulls will continue competition on March 25 at 1 pm against Rollins College in Orlando, FL.
