BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's tennis team completed its road trip with a pair of matches in Florida over the weekend. The Bulls dropped both matches, an 8-1 decision to Barry, the sixth-ranked team in Division II, and a 5-2 contest at Stetson. With the losses, the Bulls return home with a 6-9 overall record.

In the match against Barry (10-1), the Bulls were only able to score a doubles victory, using the Division II format of each match counting for one point. The doubles duo of Randy Rocchio (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) and Yules Hadisubroto (Jakarta, Indonesia/SMUN 21) defeated Victor Rodriguez and Alex Praderas, 8-3, at number two. The remainder of the matches went to the Buccaneers, although Josh Liederman (Queens Village, NY/Benjamin Cardozo), at number four, and Rangga Prayudha (Jakarta, Indonesia/ESI International Academy/Ventura College), at number six, did extend their opponents to three sets.

From Miami, the Bulls headed north to DeLand, near Orlando, to tangle with the Stetson Hatters of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Stetson (15-3) handed the Bulls a 5-2 loss to end the weekend. Both of UB's wins were in the singles competition as Rocchio, at number one, downed Vittorio Fratta, 6-1, 7-6 and Hadisubroto, playing sixth singles, defeated Reid Stubbs, 6-4, 6-0.

UB is idle for the remainder of March. The Bulls travel to Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne on April 2 for their next competition to begin a three-match Mid-American Conference slate which also includes Northern Illinois and Ball State.
