Bulls Score Big Win Over Niagara

Buffalo shuts out competition in men's tennis action

ST. BONAVENTURE, NY - The University at Buffalo's men's tennis team claimed a 7-0 victory over Niagara University at the Nike Spring Scramble at St. Bonaventure University on Sunday.

Buffalo swept the singles competition. At first singles, senior Fery Kasiman (Jarkarta, Indonesia/ESI International Academy) defeated Jonathan Bozanich, 6-3, 6-1. At second singles, Randy Rocchio (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) defeated Mike Kelly 7-5 in the first set before Kelly retired. Freshman Nick Zieziula (Hamburg, NY/St. Francis) defeated John Abella at third singles, 6-1, 6-0. Josh Liederman (Queens, NY/Benjamin Cardozo) took the fourth-singles win over Jason Pope, 6-1, 0-6, 10-8. At fifth singles, Sean Kelley (Gorham, NY/Marcus Whitman) defeated Kris Hrisovulos, 6-1, 6-1. In doubles competition, Justin Brtko (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) and Rohan Raikar (Albany, NY/Albany) defeated Tom Rees and Eric Roslansky, 6-3, 6-3.

The Bulls will continue competition on February 27 at 4 pm against the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
