2006-07: Scored consolation final points in both breaststroke races at the MAC Championships. Finished 10th in the 200 breastroke (2:10.20) after setting a lifetime-best of 2:09.35 in the preliminaries. Also placed 14th in the 100 breastroke in 1:01.86.

High School: Graduated from Sir Robert Borden High School. Swam at the club level for five years for the Napean Kanata Barracudas, coached by Dave Heinbuch. Earned the A-Group Leadership Award in 2006 and B-2 Group Leadership Award in 2003. Won the team’s Most Improved Award for 14-15 year olds in 2003.

Personal: Born March 16, 1988. Son of Grant and Shaoqing Song. Nicknames include K-Song and Kevers. Favorite athlete is Ray Emery. Favorite movie is Gladiator. Favorite foods include eggs and ice cream. Majoring in biochemical pharmacology with plans on becoming a doctor.
