2006-07: Named team’s Top Newcomer. Set the UB one-meter (323.77) and three-meter (338.80) diving records. Earned All-MAC Second Team honors at the league meet following his second-place finishes on both boards. Competed at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, finishing second of four entrants on the 10-meter platform and reaching the finals in the one and three-meter springboard competitions.

High School: Lettered four times for coach Erika McDonough at Rush Henrietta High School. Earned All-American status in his senior season. Set multiple records for six and 11 dive programs. Also participated for four years with the Blue Fins Diving program coached by Carolyn Carlton.

Personal: Born November 4, 1987. Son of Robert and Melanie McDowell. Has three sisters (Danielle, Ariel, Abby). Favorite athlete is Brett Favre. Favorite musicians are Blue Man Group. Majoring in mathematics.
