2006-07: Scored points at the MAC Championships with a 15th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (season-best 1:02.14) and 16th-place showing in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.24). Previous college: Swam two seasons at Alfred State College. A seven-time NJCAA All-American. Finished fourth in the NJCAA Championships in the 100 breaststroke and sixth in the 200 breaststroke while a member of the Pioneers. Set Alfred State records in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays. High School: Lettered four seasons and captained one year at Cordova High School for coach Jay Beaudin. Named team MVP three times. Regional champion in the 100 breaststroke, finished third in the 200 IM at the regional meet. A state finalist in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. Served as team mascot, Chester the Wolverine, for Cordova athletic events. Also swam since childhood as a member of the Cordova Ice Worms. Personal: Born December 9, 1985. Son of Perry and Carol Beecher. Has one brother (Sam) and two sistes (Jeannie, Gwen). Favorite foods include pizza and milkshakes. Majoring in nursing with a goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.
