High School: Earned four letters and captained two seasons at Williamsville North High School for coach Flynn Burroughs. Anchored the Spartans to a seventh-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay at the New York State Championships in 2007.

Personal: Born September 1, 1983. Son of Joe and Pam Beckinghausen. Has one brother (Sean) and one sister (Caitlin). Favorite food is Chinese. Favorite movie is the Star Wars series. Attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Majoring in civil engineering.
