2006-07: Posted lifetime-best times in the 200 freestyle (1:52.25) and the 500 freestyle (5:08.02) at the MAC Championships. Placed 17th in the 1,650 freestyle (17:46.97) at the MAC meet.
High School: Earned four letters and captained two seasons at Williamsville North High School for coach Flynn Burroughs. Named team MVP for the Spartans. Also swam for six years with the UB Amherst Swimming Club for coach Burroughs.
Personal: Born October 28, 1987. Son of Mark Sr. and Dana Ayers. Has two sisters (Grace, Karina) and three brothers (Jacob, Jason, Aaron). Favorite movie is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Favorite athlete is Carmelo Anthony. Majoring in history.
